Class Description:
The focus of this class will be to introduce dance through imagination & play, while supporting children's physical and cognitive growth through dance.
The class is designed to spark the imagination of young children through creative movement and playful exploration. With emphasis on storytelling, themes such as animals, nature, and fantasy worlds will guide the children’s movement. Activities will focus on developing coordination, balance, and rhythm while allowing kids to express themselves freely. The class will also include group games and music to enhance social skills and encourage listening.
Goals of this class include 1) developing basic motor skills such as jumping, spinning, and balance, 2) understanding rhythm and timing through song and play, 3) encouraging creativity through movement and imaginative games, & 4) fostering social skills such as sharing, taking turns, and working in a group setting.
