6-week Ballroom Dance Session. Beginner level. Swing (Blues, West Coast, Carolina Shag, Hustle, & East Coast). Tuesdays from 6-7pm: June 13th, 20th, & 27th; July 11th, 18th, & 25th. Classes will not meet on July 4th. Cost is $75 per person for the 6-week session. ($70 Arts Council Members) Ages 13 through Adult.
The Nash County Arts Council is now offering three all-new beginner level 6-week ballroom dance class options. Students learn basic footwork, body positions, timing, patterns, and amalgamations. These classes end with a choreographed routine and the opportunity for improvisation. Each week, new dance forms within the series style are introduced, and the last class will culminate in a style-specific social dance party! Come join the fun of learning about American ballroom dance, adding new moves to your repertoire, and discovering healthy ways to incorporate dance into your everyday life.
